what is my story?

My name is Doreen! It’s nice to e-meet you.

I am a Creative Director/Brand Strategist in North Carolina. I am a writer, graphic designer, and photographer.

I earned my Master of Arts in English and African-American Literature from North Carolina A&T State University in 2022, where I taught subsequently for three years. I taught critical analysis, storytelling, and narrative development across Black cultural and historical contexts.

I believe community building can be done through reading, writing, and creating the meaning(s) of who we are and who we can be. I approach every client as an opportunity to question, feel, dream, and visualize ourselves into spaces with others.

That’s why I created Her Creative Company, to support brands and businesses create story-driven narratives.
